SHV Holdings N.V. achieved in 2006 an income to own shareholders of € 416 million. Last year the income was € 358 million.
Despite high fuel prices, SHV Gas, active in the distribution of LPG, performed well. Metals recycling subsidiary The David J. Joseph Company in the USA achieved a very good result. This also applies to Dyas, that participates in oil and gas fields, and to NPM Capital, active in private equity investments.
Makro South America had a challenging year with satisfactory results, while Makro Asia made further steps towards improving the results.
Sales remained with € 15.1 billion at the level of last year.
At the General Meeting of Shareholders, which will be held at the end of May, Mr P.A. Verburgt will retire as member of the Supervisory Board of Directors. It will be proposed to appoint Messrs A. Burgmans and P.A.F.W. Elverding as member of the Supervisory Board of Directors.
The annual report of SHV Holdings N.V. will be published on May 2, 2007.
